Basic Chinese Phrases | Language for Travelers 

It is useful and practical to learn some basic Chinese phrases if you have the chance to visit China.

Tourists in China usually speak Chinese for these things: booking the hotel, buying something, ordering meals, and asking directions. So you need some essential expressions.

Travel phrases of eating in Chinese

1.Is there a good restaurant nearby?
请问附近有没有不错的餐厅？
qǐng wèn fù jìn yǒu méi yǒu bú cuò de cān tīng ？

2.Do you have a menu in English？
有英文菜单吗？
yǒu yīng wén cài dān ma ？

3.May I order,please？
我可以点餐了吗？
wǒ kě yǐ diǎn cān le ma ？

4.I'm allergic to seafood.
我对海鲜过敏。
wǒ duì hǎi xiān guò mǐn 。

5.I do not eat spicy food.
我不吃辣的食物。
wǒ bú chī là de shí wù 。

6.Please give me a black coffee.
请来杯浓咖啡。
qǐng lái bēi nóng kā fēi 。

7.What specialty do you have, and could you introduce it to me?
你们有什么特色菜，可以给我介绍一下吗？
nǐ men yǒu shí me tè sè cài ，kě yǐ gěi wǒ jiè shào yī xià ma ？

8.Could you please pack them up for me?
您能帮我把这些打包带走么？
nín néng bāng wǒ bǎ zhè xiē dǎ bāo dài zǒu me ？

9.Could I get a napkin, please?
可以给我一张餐巾纸吗？

能帮我换些零钱吗？
néng bāng wǒ huàn xiē líng qián ma ？
